This Charlotte homeowner had a backyard that wasn’t earning its keep — a small, weathered wooden deck with basic railings and a flat grass yard that offered no real reason to spend time outside. The space had potential, but nothing about it invited you to stay.

Our team removed the old deck entirely and designed a full outdoor living layout in its place. We installed a spacious paver patio using tumbled brick-style pavers in warm earth tones, then built a custom pergola with privacy curtains to create a shaded dining area. Stone steps connect the home’s back entrance to the new patio level. We finished the hardscape with a clean river rock border and fresh landscape plantings to frame the space and manage drainage along the patio edge.
