The project
Turning a basic deck and open lawn into a backyard made for everyday use.
The original backyard had a small, weathered wooden deck and a flat lawn, but little space that invited the homeowners to sit, dine, or spend an evening outside.
Urban removed the old deck and built a larger outdoor living layout with warm-toned pavers, a custom pergola with privacy curtains, and stone steps from the back entrance. A river rock border, new plantings, sod, and grading completed the space.

What changed
The redesign replaced a single small deck with a more complete outdoor living space shaped around how the family wanted to use the yard.
Open
The old deck was removed and a spacious paver patio created more room for dining, grilling, and seating.
Shade
A custom pergola with privacy curtains gave the dining area a defined, sheltered place beside the home.
Finish
Stone steps, a river rock border, landscape plantings, sod, and grading brought the patio and lawn together.
