A 2023 Charlotte backyard renewal shaped by a new wood fence, a low block wall, fresh sod, and a mature tree at the property edge.
The project
A worn backyard edge became a defined green space.
The original yard paired bare, leaf-covered ground with a weathered fence. The updated boundary uses a new wood fence built around the mature tree already standing near the property line.
A low block retaining wall follows the yard edge, while fresh sod replaces the exposed ground. Drainage improvements were also included to address pooling without claiming a specific system or method.
