A 2023 Charlotte project that replaced an old concrete path at a screened-porch exit with a travertine patio, retaining wall, and gravel detailing.
The project
A porchside transition recast in travertine, stone, and gravel.
The starting area included grass, leaves, and a concrete path below the screened porch. Urban removed the old path and installed a travertine patio beside the house.
The completed scope brings together travertine paver installation , a retaining wall , and gravel detailing . Fine gravel sits between the travertine pieces, with heavier gravel around the patio edge.

Travertine establishes the main surface while the wall and gravel define the patio's edge beside the house.

Mixed-size travertine pieces form the finished patio between the screened porch stairs and the yard.

A capped gray block retaining wall borders the patio on the yard-facing sides.

Fine and heavier gravel complete the spaces between pieces and around the patio perimeter.
